About the things we're proud of
We use Hemp seed oil in all of our products. Hemp grows quicker than both cotton and pine trees, uses 6 times water less water and can be used to make skin care, food, textiles paper, clothes, plastics and biofuel.
The hemp:
-
The most developed and adaptive plant on this planet
A hemp crop restores and balances nutrients and in the soil, it requires minimal water and no pesticides or insecticides. It's capable of growing in almost any climate or location - hemp is planet earth’s super crop!
-
Atmospheric Carbon Catcher
Hemp is the ultimate sequester of Carbon, it breaths in 4x more CO2 than any commercial crop or forest. On average a hemp crop can capture 2.3kg/m2 or 23 tonnes per hectare over 4 months.
-
Sow a seed for sexier soil
Hemp plants naturally restore and replenish the soil they are grown in with nutrients, leaving it healthier after the plant has been removed than before.
The oil:
-
The Solution
One of the richest natural sources of Omega oils 3, 6 and 9.
Reputed as the most unsaturated oil derived from the plant kingdom. -
Oily Skin
Its comedogenic rating of 0 means it is impossible for the oil to block skins pores.
-
Anti Aging
Clinical research shows that hemp seed oil has anti-aging and antioxidant properties.
Some other reasons why we love hemp so much:
-
PAPER FOR DAYS...
Per acre, hemp produces 4 times more pulp than timber. It grows to maturity in 12-14 weeks as opposed to 20 years for trees. The paper itself is more durable, lasts longer & can be recycled up to 5 times more.
-
SAFE AS A HOUSE
Hempcrete that is termite/fire resistant, reduces humidity, regulates airflow and sequesters carbon for its entire life. It can be used as plastics, woods, roof tiles, fiberboard, insulation, paneling and a heap more.
-
'UMM, COTTON IS SO LAST SEASON'
Hemp fabric is softer, warmer, more water resistant and more durable than cotton. It breathes more effectively, wears in (not out) and requires less chemicals on processing.
-
EFA’S – ESSENTIAL FATTY ACIDS
Essential fatty acids are more important to the body than vitamins, yet they get far less attention. Fatty acids provide lipids that keep cells healthy and flexible.
